Public Administration

The international community is expanding its support in the field of public administration to promote sustainable economic development and improve the governance of developing countries.
In line with growing international emphasis on governance, World Friends Volunteers are committed to strengthening the administrative capacity of developing countries so that they can deliver public services efficiently and better design policies. To this end, Volunteers conduct activities for establishing electronic government services and upgrading tourism resources.
Healthcare

World Friends Volunteers focus on improving the basic health environment in remote villages with little access to healthcare by offering public health and hygiene training, maternal and child health programs and drinking Water systems. Also, they carry Out various activities to develop a comprehensive healthcare system.
Education

Education is fundamental to capacity building and self-help. Ultimately, education for all directly contributes to socio-economic development of developing countries. Korea is an exemplary model where education has long been a driving force behind its rapid economic development.
Education is one of World Friends Korea's key thematic areas of service, with emphasis on elementary education, IT, Taekwondo, and vocational training.
Industry and Energy

Faced with rapid population growth and urbanization, developing countries have an increasing need for infrastructure and efficient use of land.
In response to such demand, World Friends Volunteers are assigned to the fields of industry and energy to create traffic and energy infrastructure, develop a framework for land management, and facilitate broadcasting communications.
Rural Development

Since poverty in developing countries is concentrated in rural communities, support in this area is critical.
World Friends Volunteers transfer advanced technologies to improve the productivity and livelihood of farming and fishing communities by helping to improve breeding diversify crops and transfer advanced aquaculture techniques. In addition, the volunteers disseminate Korea's unique knowledge and experience in rural development, Saemaul Undong", to help developing countries achieve self-sustaining development.
