So-hyeon Kim, KOICA-UNV/Working at WHO Mongolia
WHO Mongolia is a UN organization that works with the Mongolian Ministry of Health in carrying out various medical activities, including the prevention of infectious and respiratory diseases and projects promoting the health of mothers and children.
Here, I am part of a team that is dedicated to increasing the accessibility of healthcare in a region known as Songinokhairkhan.
So far, my work has consisted of collecting demographic data, assisting decision-making regarding the target populations of medical programs, and helping with statistical surveys.
In the future, plan to support the education of medical staff. I am delighted and privileged to be able to actually work in the field of development cooperation, helping to improve the healthcare environment for Mongolian citizens.
